Event Details

Thank you for coming out to support this benefit on behalf of Nancy Lynn Pendergrast. She is a long time resident of of Williamson County and currently lives in the Bethesda community. Nancy has been diagnosed with 5 different rare abdominal cancers with no known cure.  She is the mother of 6 children, Ben, Zak, Nikki, Tiffany, Sammy Jo and Jake and also, 1 granddaughter, Anna Grace. On August 20, 2012, Nan received the diagnosis of cancer. This was her facebook  status just after getting the news " Hello Everyone!! What a beautiful sunset going on outside. Such a calming thing. The diagnosis is in, family has been told. I do have cancer, it is malignant, it has spread. More testing in next couple of days, lots about to happen in treatment. I am doing good. God is so awesome that my complete trust is in Him no matter what. My prayers are for my family. Please keep them in your prayers. Hug those you love & let them know how important they are. Smiles to you all :o) "

Nancy has the biggest and brightest smile that is contagious. She lives her everyday life as a believer in God. She is a member of the People Church in Franklin and has also been attending Grace Chapel in Leiper's Fork.  She has an amazing faith in God. You see it in her smile and hear it in her voice. If you asked her right now how she was doing, she would say she is good and would be more concerned with how you were doing and what she could do for you. While she is devastated for her friends, family and especially her kids, she will tell you she is good. She smiles at the thought of walking the streets of gold with God one day. In just the two months since the diagnosis things have progressed very quickly, too quickly for chemo or surgery to be a treatment to help slow down the growth of the cancer. Nancy does not have any insurance and any savings she had has already gone towards helping to pay the overwhelming medical costs. This benefit is to help for the those costs and so a Love Offering is appreciated at the door. Thank You!
